Comparison of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) degradation effect under different experimental conditions

چکیده

Sulfonamides are an important class of synthetic antibacterial medications that is widely utilized and pollute many water bodies. In this study, sulfamethoxazole was selected as the representative sulfa antibiotics. A molybdenum disulfide-based catalyst synthesized by hydrothermal method used to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for degradation in water. Co@MoS 2 characterized scanning electron microscope (SEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD). The experimental conditions, Cobalt ion concentration, light effect have been investigated. High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) measure concentration sulfamethoxazole. results showed /PMS conditions could effectively degrade wastewater.
